Interactive art is awesome!

What is Interactive Art? Interactive art is a medium of art that involves the spectator in a way that allows the art to achieve its purpose. Some interactive art installation achieve this by letting the observer or visitor walk in, on around them, some others ask the artist to become part of the artwork. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interactive_art -

For the 1st assignment, what I need to do is select an “out of this world” interactive new media art or any expressive art or installation artwork . As a designer student, I believe that we can express our  our feeling, our thought  through the artwork. Expressive art is the best way to describe on how you can tell the world about your feelings. "Expressive Art uses the expression through art instead of specific discipline to treat individuals."

After do some researches, I found the best artist that I can make her as an idol. Sonia Falcone is a great artist with a purpose to serve others. She was born inSanta Cruz and in the spirit of a true Bolivian, never lost her national identity. Falcone has been exploring the windows and the passions of the soul for many decades and ever nearing the creation This exhibition is an unprecedented opportunity to experience first-hand a show that reunites Falcone's works which are dispersed in private collections and museums around the world. Prior to this, some of Falcone´s works have been shown at the Phoenix Government Convention Center/Civic Plaza. Owing to the nature of her work, Falcone's was also invited by the National Hispanic Women's Corporation where she focused on her humanitarian work for many years and spent a lot of time doing the same in Hong Kong, where she lives with her three children. According to her, the children's mandarin studies are important as Chinese is the language of the future. Falcone has also been exhibited at private showings as well as in the Museum of Phoenix, the Calvin Charles Gallery in Scottsdale Arizona and in La Galeria in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.Even though, her beginnings were more figurative, (her first works were acrylics that she put under a generic name, "The Highest Emotions"), her life experiences began to dictate her artistic development and soon she decided to move to a more abstract form. Her recent work has been described as and characterized by it's large dimensions and vibrant colors. -http://www.soniafalcone.com/sf/index.php/en/artist-

Sonia Falcone

I chose one of her best installation expressive artwork made in year 2010. This video is ' Best Video Installation Artwork at the Biennale in Santa Cruz Bolivia. You can watch her video below.

After watch and understand the video, we need to answer the questions.. I answer all the question in one paragraph :) When I saw for this artwork, the first word that I say is 'Wow, this is amazing!'.  The sound was attract me  to stay and watch this awesome artwork till the end. This art bring me to the other world. The sound can bring me to the mystery, stress situation. It also can make me feel afraid and feel sorrow. I imagine that I in the sad moment and listen and watch the video, it really make my tears drop. Not all people can feel this artwork. The elements that make me engage to this artwork is the line and the shape that she used. She try to express what she feel through the elements of art. She know how to use the line, shape, color and space as well. Her artwork is really has a deep meaning and value. The factor that make me say 'WOW' at the first sight is the sound and how she attract people with this artwork using the line and color. in my view as a success designer in the future, I believe this element of art that she used in her interactive art video is the main wow factor that attracted the people. If the one thing that I can add in this interactive artwork, I really love to add more colors and play with the colors to make the audience feel more about the artwork and maybe I will change the music as well to suit it with the artwork that I show to my audience. For me, as an art person, we need to understand what others artist try to show and express because only through artwork we can show to the other people about our emotion. I really like to tell the people about the quote " Art is the lie that enables us to realize the truth" - Pablo Picasso.
